Animation
I've been a writer and artist all my life, blending both skills into my pre-retirement profession as a technical writer. That said, over the years, I’ve taken a few stabs at animation, but as of late 2023, it’s become a full-time focus.
If you’re also drawn to animation, whether drawn by hand or developed through AI, follow our YouTube posts on Tips4LovingLife.
I incourage all artists to experiment with animating their work. As of 2026, this has never been easier! The trick today for creative individuals is to not be pushed into thinking that AI will do the work for you.
Yes, AI can generate animations from scratch, but far better, it can be used as a tool to get your own art off the ground.
Currently, I use Adobe Character Animator, which can boost animation tasks using motion capture and microphone-driven lip-syncing to drive action. It is also an engine that allows artists to produce frame-by-frame animation, without requiring a staff of individuals laboriously drawing the "tweens" that make animation come alive.
