I've been a writer and illustrator all my life, blending both skills into my career as a technical consultant and author.

 

While I’ve taken a few stabs at animation over the years, it became a full-time focus in late 2023. ​ If you’re also drawn to animation, follow our YouTube posts on Tips4LovingLife.

I encourage all artists to experiment with animating their work. Today, the trick for creative individuals is to avoid assuming that automated tools or AI will do the heavy lifting for you. While automated generators exist, these tools are far better used to get your own hand-drawn art off the ground, keeping you in full creative control.

Currently, I use Adobe Character Animator for prototyping and finishing images. It serves as a powerful engine for precise, timeline-based animation, allowing artists like myself to maintain total control over custom, frame-by-frame movement. This approach lets characters come to life efficiently, without requiring a staff of individuals laboriously drawing the "tweens."​
