  • One of the first women to use a PC. Leader in the newly formed PC User Group–Milwaukee.

  • Co-founded Words Unlimited, the first word processing service in the area. Featured CPT and Wang equipment. Provided medical transcription, writing, and document processing.

  • I was a moderator on ExecPC, the world’s largest bulletin board system at the time. Working alongside ExecPC founder Bob Mahoney, I helped shape early online communities and set the stage for what became today’s global digital networks.

1980s
  • Moderator on ExecPC, the largest bulletin board system in the world (predecessor to modern platforms like Facebook).

  • Wrote training manual for PKZip.

  • Founded and ran Office Technology Academy, the highest-ranked nonprofit school of its type for the Milwaukee County Private Industry Council. President until 1991.

  • Founded Clear Concepts, a freelance writing service.

  • Researched and wrote large manuals for the National Fire Protection Association and Northern Computers.

  • Co-authored the best-selling book Security, ID Systems, and Locks: The Book on Electronic Access Control.

  • Writer for best-selling books on CorelDraw, ColdFusion, and Photoshop.

  • Editor, writer, and illustrator for CorelDraw Magazine.

  • Feature writer for Security Management and Access Control Magazine, among others.

  • Officer and newsletter editor for the Society of Technical Communicators (STC) for ten years.

  • Served Fortune 500 clients based in Milwaukee, WI:

  • Developed one of the first major ColdFusion commerce websites that included a SQL data feed.

  • Authority on adult kick scooting; founded the group Let’s Kick Scoot.
